Q: What is(are) the most important / impactful thing(s) you’ve gotten from this group?
A: “I definitely won’t be able to remember each and every helpful thing; there have been too many to count!
But here’s a start…
- Everything about Lynne!! Lynne, you are so warm, welcoming, down to earth, pragmatic, enthusiastic, and encouraging. I am absolutely floored by how you are able to diffuse the shame and self judgment to get to the practical strategies. For me, this is the key to actually making an impact working with people with ADHD that 99% of people don’t get, or don’t get right. Lynne modeled the perfect balance of structure and flexibility. I never felt the pressure to get things perfect.
- The Specificity of the Content: Nothing has ever worked better for me at helping me simplify and contain. In other words, it actually works. What a concept! -the pacing and breadth: the lectures are exactly the right length and the fieldwork is just the right amount to keep me engaged without feeling overwhelming. I felt like each piece built so seamlessly on the previous content.
- The Flexibility: I have benefitted in the past from programs that had much more rigid expectations and pressure, but I wouldn’t have been able to incorporate that into my life right now because of everything on my plate. I was able to do what I could and benefit immensely, and I never felt like I was too behind to continue or that I was somehow failing.
- Communication was Very Clear: I didn’t struggle with where to find anything -I really like the scope of unleashed, from daily planning to bigger picture planning and project management. I was already doing a lot of planning but this helped me troubleshoot and make it 10x more efficient.
- I got so much out of our 1:1 call! I shouldn’t have been surprised but Lynne was just as great 1:1 as in the groups calls and prerecorded lectures -I think Lynne really nails it when she talks about intentionally celebrating our wins and learning to recognize the perfectionist mindset and challenge it. I’ve never heard anyone explain this quite so effectively.
I have spent thousands of dollars of ADHD individual coaching, group coaching, therapy, books, lectures, etc. I have worked in mental health and been in counseling for 20+ years. Talking about, learning about, teaching about, and managing my ADHD is a HUGE part of my day to day life.
